Nutrition & Mental Wellbeing Workshop for Health Professionals.
Integrate nutrition for mental wellbeing into clinical practice.
You’re aware of the effect nutrition can have on mental health but are unsure how to use that within your clinical scope as a mental health professional.
Maybe some of these questions have come up for you?
What is useful for my clients to know?
What is the actual evidence?
How exactly does nutrition affect mental health?
How do I explain it to my clients?
When is it important to bring this into my clinical practice?
When I first learned about the impact of nutrition on mental health
it changed the way I saw my clients and their presenting problems forever. Once I knew, I could never go back to working in the same way, and this began my ten year journey to learning how to integrate this paradigm-shifting information into my work as a psychologist.
I believe that clinicians are in a great position to bring this information to those struggling with their mental health.
In this workshop, you will learn:
What the up to date evidence is in this field
What the mechanisms are behind the relationship between nutrition and mental health/wellbeing
How to bring this into your clinical practice as a mental health professional
To do this we will spend the day together in a workshop, and you will leave with a sound understanding of how to use this information to support your clients better, including education handouts!

As a mental health clinician, are you aware that nutrition has an effect on the mental health of your clients but are not sure what to do with that information?
Maybe you have been watching the emerging field of nutrition and mental wellbeing expanding but are not clear about how to integrate these findings into your clinical practice while staying within your scope?
This is where I was about ten years ago. I had just had my first exposure to the field of nutrition and mental health, and my perspective on clinical work was never the same again.
